Model S140

A proven performer, the Model S140 offers high speed shrink packaging of a wide range of products from trading cards to construction paper, candles to compact discs. A variety of shrink films can be sealed on the Model S140 including polyolifins as well as PVC's. Equipped with a column mounted self-centering parent roll, the Model S140 offers a simplified flow of wrapping film to the product former.

Wrapping speed is adjusted simply by rotating a convenient dial on the operating panel. An oversized variable speed motor is standard, providing sufficient power to drive infeed product feeders. Changing package length is push button easy, thanks to an electronically controlled fin wheel drive. Electric eye film registration is available as an option for those customers wishing to use register print shrink film.

Fin wheels pull the film and product through the wrapper while making a continuous lengthwise bead seal beneath the product. Trimmed film is diverted from the fin seal area to a driven scrap wind-up system. The S140 can also be furnished to run other types of packaging materials.

The Model S140 includes AmeriPak's unique EZSET crimper phasing adjustment which allows the operator to position the end crimper between products during set up and while running without the need to remove product from the film tube. This feature along with our adjustable former makes size changes quickly and saves the cost of multiple product formers required on many competitive machines.
